THERE ARE TIMES THAT I WISH I HAD A SCOOTER.
Like when I have to go to the grocery to buy something. The neighborhood store here gets crowded at times that parking can be a problem.
With an electric scooter, parking would never been an issue. Most scooters can be folded up to the size of a suitcase, virtually eliminating the need for parking.
Moreover, electric scooters are low-maintenance compared to cars and even bikes.
I’ve been doing a lot of shopping for an electric scooter. The following are in my shortlist:
RAZOR POWER CORE E90
Razor is a good brand so I’m considering this one despite some flaws. It is suitable for all ages and can travel up to 15 miles an hour. It should last 40 to 60 minutes of use before needing to be recharged. My main problem is that it lacks safety lights so it is more suited for use during the day.
This is another good choice albeit very pricey at more than a thousand bucks. It can drive up to 62 miles on a single charge which is very impressive. It has 10 inch pneumatic tires and folds up in less than three seconds. It also has a 550 pound user weight capacity.
SUPER TURBO 1000
If speed was my sole consideration, then I would have picked this. However, it is not since I am also looking at other factors like the design, safety features, and more importantly, price. The main selling proposition of this electric scooter is speed. With its motor spinning at 3000RPMS, the Super Turbo 1000 can reach speeds of up to 26 miles an hour. I really would have picked this one but I have found other cheaper models.
CELLOT CARBON FIBER SCOOTER
Here’s another excellent choice. It is super portable as it weighs just 14 pounds. This scooter can reach speeds of up to 25 miles an hour. It has an electric braking system which is quite strong, too.
RAZOR ECOSMART METRO
This is the model that I am leaning towards to buying. There are several reasons. One is that it has a detachable luggage rack which should come in handy whenever I go to the grocery. Second is the price as it is less than $400. There’s also a removable seat. Sure, it is not the lightest scooter in this list but I don’t mind. I think this is the best scooter for me.
