I CAN STILL REMEMBER BUYING A 16GB MEMORY CARD AS IF IT WAS YESTERDAY. AND OH BOY, IT DID COST ME A LOT.
We’re more fortunate these days because memory cards are a lot bigger in memory and yes, a lot cheaper too. You can store a lot of photos, files, and even several old Avengers movies on a memory card.
I needed to upgrade the memory card for my new phone so I looked around for a new one. I realized there’s no shortage of options.
SILICON POWER 128 GB MICRO SD
Yes, for less than $40, you can get your hands on a 128 GB micro SD from Silicon Power. It’s being promoted as a great accessory for the Nintendo Switch but you don’t need to have one to fully realize how much of a steal this micro SD card is.
SANDISK 16GB CLASS 10
A great deal for casual phone users as well as recreational videographers and photographers, this microSD card is a reasonably priced. I also like that transferring files on this card is quick and easy.
SAMSUNG 32GB EVO CLASS 10
We all know what Samsung is. It’s a trusted brand so you won’t go wrong with this micro SD card. It is low priced plus transfer rate is pretty decent. And because it’s a Class 10 card, you can store all your HD videos on it.
PATRIOT LX SERIES 32GB
The brand may not ring a bell in the same way that Samsung does, but I like this micro SD card because it is cheap. Transfer and write speeds are acceptable.
SANDISK ULTRA 64GB
This is what I got– a 64GB micro SD card from SanDisk that sells for less than $20 on Amazon.com now. I feel this was the best storage size for my phone and I am happy with it.
