SUMMER IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER.
AND THAT MEANS A TRIP TO THE BEACH IS FORTHCOMING.
It also means having to take countless selfies.
And putting my phone at risk of getting wet and damaged.
Fortunately for us, there are so many waterproof cases on the market.
Although some of the high-end phone models these days can resist water (Samsung Galaxy S8, iPhone 7, and Sony Xperia XZ, to name a phone), these are still outnumbered by phones which aren’t built to be immersed in water. This is where waterproof cases can help. These are lightweight cases which can give you peace of mind while not necessarily adding bulk to your phone.
Below are five of the best today. At the end of this post, I’ll tell you which waterproof phone case I recently bought.
VANSKY FLOATABLE PHONE CASE
This is a cheap but handy case that is big enough to hold phones with screen size of up to 5.7 inches. Sure, it looks more like a pouch than a case but it can’t be argued that it can do the job, so to speak. It can withstand depths of up to 100 feet. I like that it has an external audio jack that can let users listen to music even if the phone is inside it.
CATALYST IPHONE 8 CASE
It’s expensive but hey, if you can get a $600 phone then $80 should not be an issue, right? This can resist water up to 30 minutes. It can also protect the phone against drops as it is made of military-grade polycarbonate material. And it can maintain clear audio for phone calls and music even if it is sealed. Plus, it can also accommodate the iPhone 7.
CALICASE UNIVERSAL PHONE CASE
This universal phone case can be submerged in up to 100 feet and up to 30 minutes. There’s a padding that helps it float while in the water . And it has enough space for smartphones that have up to 6 inches of screen size. It also comes in 15 different color variations.
JOTO UNIVERSAL PHONE CASE
I can’t deny that I nearly bought this. At $8, this could be the best bang-for-the-buck phone case around. It can hold phones with screen size of up to six inches. It is waterproof up to depths of 100 feet. And it comes in multiple colors. Just a great choice, in my book.
KONA SUBMARINER POUCH
This is my choice. It’s slightly more expensive than the Joto pouch but it has plenty of room for phones with screen size of up to 6 inches. It can also accommodate other essentials such as cards, keys, and spare cash.
