HAVING A HOME GYM IS NICE BUT SPACE WILL ALWAYS BE A CONCERN.
This is particularly true if you live in an apartment. Or in my case, when there’s too much stuff at home that I can’t find a room to set up a gym.
Fortunately, there are plenty of compact home gyms designed for people who have limited space at home.
I’ve started shopping for one. I’m considering the following factors in choosing a home gym:
1). Resistance– the resistance levels should be adjustable so I can progress well in my workouts
2). Dimensions/size— the smaller it is, the better
4.) Number of exercises
HERE ARE THE FIVE COMPACT HOME GYMS THAT MADE MY SHORT LIST:
SUNNY HEALTH & FITNESS SF-RW5515
This rowing machine rower measures 82 inches long and 19 inches wide. It has eight levels of resistance. I liked that it has wheels so I can bring it to any other part of the house. My concern is that it sits too low to the ground that I could have a bad back later on.
With more than 30 exercises, this home gym is really intriguing. I also like that it offers up to 210 pounds of resistance. However, it certainly is not cheap. And not the most compact in this list.
BODY-SOLID POWERLINE HOME GYM
Like the item that precedes it, this home gym offers plenty of exercises— more than 40, according to the maker. It targets every major muscle group of the body. And it is delivered pre-assembled so putting it together should be easy. However, the price is not its best quality.
TOTAL GYM XLS
This is another solid yet pricey choice. There are more than 80 exercises I can do here. It’s also suitable for women and even children. It is not as big as the two previous models. Again, this could be a very good choice although I still find it expensive.
TOTAL GYM XLS
This is the home gym I am eyeing. It’s not expensive; it is compact and it has numerous exercises to keep me engaged. According to most users, this machine can provide up to 30 exercises.
