MY SON HAS BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT HIS OLD MATTRESS. HE SAYS HE’S BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS SLEEPING BECAUSE IT IS NO LONGER COMFY.
I don’t want my child to have sleepless nights just because of a mattress. He’s too young for that. So I immediately shopped online to look for the best mattresses for kids.
I wanted a mattress that is cool and breathable so that my kid won’t wake up at 1 in the morning feeling sweaty and irritated. It should also be able to provide good support to his body. It should also be hypoallergenic and antibacterial.
Plus, since I am shopping online, I looked for a mattress with a long trial period.
There are many good mattresses online such as:
ARTIC DREAMS COOLING MATTRESS
This is a medium-firm mattress that should appeal to budget-conscious parents. It’s well made and should ably support kids not heavier than 150 pounds. It doesn’t retain heat too. The 10 inch thickness is enough for most kids. I liked this although I had some reservations about the smell that it leaves.
LUCID 6-INCH GEL INFUSED MEMORY FOAM
A cheaper alternative, this 6-inch memory foam mattress has a ventilated design that increases airflow. Kids should be comfortable sleeping on this mattress. It also has no chemical odors, which is a big bonus. But my son found it lacking in height so we looked for something else.
LINEN SPA 8 -INCH MEMORY FOAM
This is also a good deal for parents looking for a mattress that their kids can use for a long time. It has a medium-firm feel with a memory foam quilted on top of it. It also has a very reasonable price.
SIGNATURE SLEEP 12 INCH MEMORY FOAM
We were seriously considering this 12 inch memory foam mattress from Signature Sleep. The mattress looks well built. I also thought that this was the mattress that can be used by my son for many, many years. But I also found it to be a bit expensive.
ZINUS ULTIMA 10-INCH MEMORY FOAM
I eventually settled for this one as it is a lot cheaper but still having that height profile that my son prefers. It is comfortable to sleep on, too. Plus it doesn’t have a chemical smell. My son loves it.
