I’M ONE OF THE FEW PEOPLE WHO LIKE COLD COFFEE THAN HOT BREWED COFFEE.
IT JUST TASTES BETTER FOR ME.
In fact, I love to start my mornings with ice cold coffee. But I don’t refrigerate hot-brewed coffee. I like cold brewing instead because it yields a stronger and more flavorful drink. And I also don’t like pouring hot coffee over ice as the concoction often tastes bitter.
I was so pleased to learn that there are plenty of cold brew coffee makers sold on Amazon.com. I plan to get any of these in the future:
TAKEYA DELUXE COLD BREW ICED COFFEE MAKER
This is a portable, 1-quart cold brewer that makes up to 4 servings of coffee. Its airtight and leak-proof lid means I can take it along anywhere I go without being concerned about spilling. It’s made from BPA-free plastic that’s durable and dishwasher-safe. It can also work as a mug.
HARIO COLD BREW COFFEE POT
Hario is a Japanese coffee giant. This is an inexpensive brewer that is simple to use. There’s a reusable mesh basket where coffee goes into and then submerged into cool water. It would take at least 12 hours for coffee to steep. Despite its price, the product is surprisingly well made.
MASON JAR COLD BREW COFFEE MAKER
It may appear like a simple mason jar but it is actually a cold-brew kit. I like the bamboo lid as it looks good. The metal mesh filter is reusable and easy to clean. It is also simple to use—just fill it with coffee, steep for at least 12 hours then pull out the filter.
OXO GOOD GRIPS COLD BREW COFFEE MAKER
It’s not the most compact in this list but it has some pretty nifty features. I like its water dispersion technology that can keep the extraction even. It also has clear markings plus the top is sealed with silicone.
TODDY COLD BREW SYSTEM
This cold brew system has been getting rave reviews online. With it, I can create coffee that can rival those served in popular coffee shops. It creates smooth coffee concentrate that can stay fresh for 2 weeks. It can also be used in making hot or cold tea.
